Using & Uploading Music

Does anyone know the answer to this?

I am thinking of making a small video and my wife was going to sing the song "great is he" as the backing track. Do I need permission from the copyright holders to do this? Especially as I was planning on uploading it here too!

I suspect your instincts on this are correct - I think you probably do need permission. Might be worth a call to the publishers?? I notice on reelworship that we have to have permission to use actual copyrighted material e.g.an artist singing their own song. I suppose the same would be true of someone else singing it.
