CBA Ministers

Hello all...

I have found a resource for Easter that I think will be brilliant for children and young people. It's called 'shooting Jesus' and consists of a series of 6 photos each representing a different part of the Easter story.

The photos are available to download for free, but the rest of the resource (including 8 assemblies, poster versions of the pictures, and all the discussion questions that accompany the photos etc...) can be brought for £8.

I am using it for our youth service tomorrow, so you are welcolme to borrow it after that, and feel free to ask me how it went!

The website to get it from is:

God Bless

Hi, Suzy,
Thanks for this. CMS have produced some other good stuff, like the Christ we Share, and also A-cross the World...
Other sources for good Easter stuff are:- Eggs & Ashes, Stages on the Way, (both Iona), and also, in Shefford, for the week Palm Sunday-Easter Sunday we set up one of the churches, with a labyrinth, as found in Multi-Sensory Church
Did the Youth Service go well?

Hi Steve...

Yep the youth service went swimmingly thanks. The young people were awesome and came up with some amazing stuff off the back of the Easter photos. I was inspired by them and their creativity.
The resource is now sitting on my desk waiting to be used – so if anyone would like to use it of have a little look then let me know.

Jonny Baker at Proust has some interesting Lent and Easter resources, including some new additions, 'the cross' and 'isaiah 53'.

I started a comment the other day to flag up a brilliant story with beautiful illustrations by Bob Hartman, The Easter Angels. When I went on Amazon I discovered that it's out of print and the second-hand copies start at about £16 with all but one of them from the States. It think it''s so good that when I introduced it to Simon Carver I said that if he bought it and didn't like it I'd buy it off him! So, if you know someone who has it and could borrow it, it works well simply as a story told. With the illustrations put into a PPT it would be even better. The other one to add, although I guess that it's well known, are the Nick Fawcett, No Ordinary Man meditations. They are extraordinarily powerful and I used them at Churches Together open air services on Good Friday with dramatic effect.
